This compact, full-color hardcover book was originally published in 1990 (the year of Franklin Paul Rogers' death), but was revised and expanded in 2013 by Lucas Enterprises/Tattoo Archive to include information about the people and places mentioned in Rogers' original text. There is now a historical index of names and places, as well as over 150 additional images. Rogers worked in the tattoo industry for over 50 years and was influenced by the people and places he encountered. Along with an abundance of historic photographs and images, the book includes the original Franklin Paul Rogers interviews conducted by Don Lucas over several years and is written in Rogers' stream-of-consciousness style.
